PONTIFICAL DIVINE LITURGY – Bishops, archbishops and cardinals from the Eastern Rite and the Roman Catholic Rite assemble at the end of a solemn ceremony of enthronement Feb. 20 for Bishop Paul P. Chomnycky, directly in front of tabernacle, newly appointed Bishop of Ukrainian Catholics for the Eparchy of Stamford. The ceremony took place in the chapel of St. Basil College Seminary in Stamford and it was presided over by the head of the Ukrainian Catholic Church, Lubomyr Cardinal Husar, the Major Archbishop of Kyiv-Halych, Ukraine. Bishop Chomnycky succeeds Bishop Basil H. Losten, who had headed the Eparchy since Dec. 7, 1977. At the far left is Archbishop Daniel A. Cronin, Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Hartford.
