NEWINGTON – Newington Children’s Theatre Co. has announced an audition period for its 2010-11 touring production of the "Beauty and the Beast." Auditions are open to males and females between the ages of 10 and 18 from anywhere in Connecticut. They will take place at the Black Box Theatre, 743 N. Mountain Road, Newington.

Auditions are scheduled for from 6-9 p.m. Sept. 9 and 10, and from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 11. Callbacks by invitation will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 12. Auditions may be scheduled and information may be obtained at (860) 666-6282 or www.nctcarts.org. Prescheduled auditions are preferred, but walk-ins will be welcomed. Technical and stage crew positions also are available.
