Very Rev. Douglas L. Mosey, president-rector of Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, will celebrate a pro-life Mass at 7 p.m. Jan. 18 at St. Mary Church at 42 Spring St. in Windsor Locks in conjunction with the parish's tradition of attending the March for Life in Washington. Father Mosey, a Basilian priest, is in his 13th year as rector of Holy Apostles.
Speaking after Mass will be Elizabeth Gillen, director of the First Way Life Center in Enfield. A former math teacher, Ms. Gillen stopped teaching in order to be more active in the pro-life movement. Ms. Gillen has had many years of experience in sidewalk counseling and other aspects of pro-life activism. She offers Rachel’s Vineyard post-abortion counseling at First Way of Life and is on the board of directors for the National Life Center.
The Mass is open to the public.
