WEST HARTFORD – Passionist Sister Mary Ann Strain will lead a retreat from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 14 at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center. Sister Mary Ann will relate the traditional moral theology of Pope Benedict XVI’s new encyclical, Caritas in Veritate, to contemporary challenges related to poverty, the environment and the dignity of labor, poverty and the environment.

A former member of Holy Family’s retreat team, Sister Mary Ann now is a representative of Passionists International, a nongovernmental organization (NGO) at the United Nations.  The offering of $30 includes lunch.
