MONROE – Catholic Engaged Encounter will sponsor a retreat for engaged couples Sept.10-12 at the Nazareth Spiritual Life Center in Monroe. Engaged Encounter is a weekend for couples planning marriage in the Church who desire an in-depth opportunity to deepen and enrich their lives together. It is designed to enable couples to focus on themselves, their relationship and the building blocks needed for a successful marriage. The atmosphere of the weekend lets couples explore their values, goals, attitudes and beliefs about love, communication, decision-making, commitment, time, sex, faith, and more.
The weekend fulfills diocesan requirements for marriage preparation and runs from 8 p.m. on Friday to 3 p.m on Sunday. Information is available from the archdiocesan the Family Life Office at (203) 230-2460) or
