TORRINGTON – St. Francis of Assisi Parish will present a "Spirit of the Animals Festival: Animals, the Earth, and World Peace" Oct. 2 on the church grounds at 160 Main St. from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The day will feature demonstrations, speakers, exhibits and vendors until 3 p.m. A pet parade and blessing of the animals will take place beginning at 2.
