WEST HARTFORD – Father Peter Pearson, an iconographer and priest of the Diocese of Bethlehem, Pa., will lead an icon painting retreat Oct. 7-10 at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center, 303 Tunxis Road. Participants will follow step-by-step instructions and complete an icon from start to finish. The retreat will include time for prayer and a blessing of the icons created during the retreat. Father Pearson has created hundreds of icons for private collectors, churches and other institu-tions throughout the world. He is the author of A Brush with God and Another Brush with God.
