The United States Province of Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk (Belgium), who live and minister in three parishes within the Archdiocese of Hartford, elected and installed new leaders for their order at the congregations general chapter during the summer in Brussels, Belgium. Pictured from left are Sister Edith Menegus, chapter delegate and United States provincial councilor; Sister Mairead Barrett, ex officio member of the chapter and United States provincial superior; Sister Margaret OBrien, chapter delegate and new general superior; Sister Joanne Callahan, a native of West Haven, chapter delegate and superintendent of schools for the Diocese of Rockville Centre, L.I.; Sister Judith OConnor, a West Hartford native, former general superior; and Sister Valerie Heinonen, chapter delegate and consultant for corporate responsible investments. Members of the congregation are at Our Lady of Victory Parish in West Haven; Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Joseph Parish, both in Meriden; and St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Oxford.
