A Lenten retreat morning for parish ministers will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon March 31 at the Archdiocesan Center at St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield. The keynote speaker is Jo Ann Paradise, national catechetical consultant for Our Sunday Visitor curriculum division. She has served as a catechetical administrator in the Diocese of Pittsburgh in several parishes and was most recently the director of parish ministerial life and spiritual formation at St. Sebastian Parish. Jo Ann has been a teacher in the Catholic school system at both the high school and elementary levels as well as an adjunct faculty member at Duquesne and Carlow University and La Roche College. She delivers keynotes, facilitates workshops, and offers retreats on a variety of topics to educators and catechists. She holds a B.S. in education from Carlow University, an M.A. in theology from Duquesne University and a D. Min in spiritual direction from the Graduate Theological Foundation in South Bend, Ind. The sacrament of confession will be available, as will eucharistic adoration, small-group faith sharing, recitation of the rosary, guided communion and socialization.
