Six members of the East Catholic High School Math Team, from left, Hongyang (David) Bai, Meaghan McGeary, Zhen Zhou, Chad Kim, Weijia Du and Theresa Oei, pose after taking fifth place recently in the Small School Division of the State Math Meet. Zhen was selected to be on the State Math Team that competed at the American Regions Math League Meet June 4-6 at Penn State University. For the year, Chad Kim was the highest scoring underclassman in the entire Capital Area Mathematics League. As a team, East Catholic came in third in the Einstein Division. Math teacher Anne Mannion is the advisor for the team.
