WEST HARTFORD – The Northwest Catholic Dramateurs will present the classic Hollywood musical, "Singin’ in the Rain," April 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. and on April 7 at 2 p.m.
The MGM classic has been faithfully adapted by Broadway legends Betty Comden and Adolph Green from their original award-winning screenplay. Each unforgettable scene, song and dance is accounted for, including the show-stopping title number, complete with an onstage rainstorm! Hilarious situations, snappy dialogue and a hit-parade score of Hollywood standards make "Singin’ in the Rain" the perfect entertainment for any fan of the golden age of movie musicals.
The show features Daniel Lusardi ’13 as silent film star Don Lockwood, Ryan DeFranzo ’14 as Don’s friend Cosmo Brown, Olivia Fenton ’15 as Kathy Selden and Danielle Lewczyk ’13 as Don’s on-screen co-star Lina Lamont. The production is directed by Sara Avery, with choreography by Kate Morran.
