Sara Borghesi, Lincoln Financial Group legal specialist, left, presents diapers, wipes and other baby supplies on May 31 to Joan C. Dauber, director of her namesake food bank, which will distribute them to needy Hartford families.

Employees at Lincoln Financial Group in Hartford held a diaper drive to benefit the Joan C. Dauber Food Bank at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford in honor of Mother’s Day. The drive netted about 2,000 diapers, baby wipes and ointment to benefit families receiving services at the food bank.

The food bank is maintained through private donations and grants and is operated mostly by volunteers. It provides diapers to approximately 225 children on a weekly basis in addition to supplying groceries for up to 1,300 families a month.
