Mangiare_Ital-FestItalian and American food offerings were among the attractions that drew thousands of people to the 44th annual Holy Rosary Italian Festival Aug. 4-6 on the Ansonia parish’s grounds. Nearly all of the Italian dishes are prepared on the church property by dedicated parishioners who roll meatballs, make sauce, fry dough and cook the zeppole and then serve all the food, said Father Joseph Napolitano, pastor. Live bands and rides also were among the features at this year’s event. (Photo by Mary Chalupsky)
