Msgr. Daniel Plocharczyk speaks to the congregation gathered to celebrate his 40th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood at a Mass on May 25 at Sacred Heart Church in New Britain.
Archbishop Emeritus Daniel A. Cronin presided. Concelebrants were Fathers Stanislaw Dudek, Tomasz Sztuber, Peter Sobiecki, Dariusz Gosciniak, Bernard Backiel, Dariusz Paszkowski, Gerard Schmitz and Thomas Ginty.
Among the hundreds of people at the Mass were Daughters of Mary of the Immaculate Conception, members of Msgr. Plocharczyk’s family and many friends and parishioners. A reception followed in the school hall.
Msgr. Plocharczyk was ordained on May 25, 1974, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford.He served for some years as secretary to Archbishop Cronin and vice chancellor of the Archdiocese of Hartford. (Photo by Eva Gryk)
