Sister laura nowakowskiSister Laura Nowakowski will celebrate her 75th anniversary with the Sisters of St. Joseph, Third Order of St. Francis (SSJ-TOSF), on June 17 at Marymount Congregational Home in Garfield Heights, Ohio.

A native of Meriden, she did her undergraduate work at St. John College and her graduate studies at Williams University. Her ministry was to students in primary education before her retirement. She now lives at Marymount Congregational Home.

The Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis, founded in 1901 in Stevens Point, Wis., is a Franciscan community of about 300 sisters and associates. The members serve in diverse ministries across the United States and South America. The community also will celebrate jubilees at the congregational home in Bartlett, Ill., and at the motherhouse in Stevens Point.
