NORTH HAVEN – Deacon Carmine A. Angeloni of North Haven, 86, husband of Anne Rammunni Angeloni, passed away Sept. 6.

He was ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacon on Oct. 7, 1974, by the late Archbishop John F. Whealon. He served as a deacon at Ascension Parish in Hamden and St. Therese Parish in North Haven.

He was born on July 16, 1923, in New Haven. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the European and Pacific theaters. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 1965 from New Haven College and worked as an accountant for Ernst and Ernst at Chatfield Paper Co.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Carmine L. Angeloni of Belchertown, Mass.; Paul F. Angeloni of Shelter Island, N.Y.; and Mary Lou Angeloni of North Haven; a brother, Ludovico Angeloni of Orange; a sister, Amelia Jacobucci of Centerville, Mass.; and two grandchildren.

Hartford Auxiliary Bishop Peter A. Rosazza celebrated a Mass of Christian Burial on Sept. 14 at St. Therese Church.

Interment with full military honors followed in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
