WEST ISLIP, N.Y. – Sister Mary Louise Grube, an Ursuline Sister, died Nov. 23, 2010, at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, N.Y. She was born July 12, 1918. She entered the congregation of the Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk on Feb. 11, 1940, and professed her vows five years later. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgian Court in Lakewood, N.J.

Sister Louise ministered for many years as a primary school teacher and music instructor. Her ministry included teaching at Our Lady of Victory in West Haven and St. Thomas the Apostle in West Hartford as well as in Ozone Park, Howard Beach, Bellerose, Seaford and Patchogue, N.Y.

After retiring, Sister Louise continued teaching piano privately. She was active in the Cursillo movement and was a member of the Columbiettes of Patchogue #725.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 29 at St. Ursula Center chapel, followed by interment at the cemetery of the Ursuline Sisters in Blue Point, N.Y.
