NEW BRITAIN – Sister Mary Julitta (Anna) Pylkowski, 94, a member of the Daughters of Mary of the Immaculate Conception, died on March 5, 2012.

She was born on March 26, 1917, in New Britain, a daughter of the late Boleslaus and Sophie (Szymanski) Pylkowski.

She entered the congregation of the Daughters of Mary on April 6, 1931. She served at St. Lucian’s Residence, Our Lady of Rose Hill and the motherhouse, all in New Britain, as well as at St. Stanislaus Parish in Waterbury and other apostolates staffed by the Daughters of Mary in New Jersey and Massachusetts.

Sister Julitta was predeceased by her sisters Sophie and Mary and brothers Boleslaus, Edward and Stanley.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on March 7 in the chapel at the motherhouse. Burial was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
