WOLCOTT – Helen M. (Stack) Donahue, 80, formerly of Wolcott, died on Oct. 15, 2012, at Bradley Memorial Hospital in Southington.

She was the widow of Robert G. Donahue, who died on July 12, 2008. Mrs. Donahue is survived by three sons, Father Aidan N. Donahue, pastor of St. Mary Parish in Milford, Sean R. Donahue of Waterbury and Michael P. Donahue of Avon; and three daughters, Margaret M. Griffin of Simsbury, Anne Crouse of Southington and Mary Kate Nadile of Southington. She also is survived by 11 grandchildren, Caitlin, Meaghan, Samuel, Aidan, Katherine, Olivia, Paul Richard, Emily, Katherine, Robert and Sarah; and a brother, T. Francis Stack of Suffield.

She was predeceased by her infant daughter Sheila; her brothers Father John J. Stack and Nicholas S. Stack; her sisters Marguerite Mastropietro and Theresa Stack; and her grandson, Cameron Donahue.

Mrs. Donahue was born on Oct. 8, 1932, in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Margaret (McMahon) Stack. She graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School in 1950 and St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She worked as a staff nurse and then for many years as a private duty nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Father Donahue celebrated a Mass of Christian Burial on Oct. 19 at St. Dominic Church in Southington. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
