NEW BRITAIN – Sister Mary Severine (Anna) Sudol, 93, a member of the Daughters of Mary of the Immaculate Conception, died on April 26, 2014.

A native of Haverhill, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Walenty and Sophie Sudol.

She entered the Daughters of Mary on May 14, 1939. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford and a Master of Arts degree from Fairfield University.

Sister Mary Severine taught locally at Mary Immaculate Academy and St. Paul and Sacred Heart schools, as well as in parish schools in Massachusetts and New Jersey.

She also ministered at Our Lady’s Guild House in Boston and St. Lucian’s Residence.

Sister Mary Severine is survived by her sisters, Jennie Nowicki, Mary Gurka and Sister Mary Cyril of the Daughters of Mary. She is predeceased by her brother Frank and sister Julia Adamczyk as well as by several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on April 30 in the motherhouse chapel.

Burial was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
