Members the National Honor Society at Lauralton Hall in Milford sit in front of the more than 3,000 diapers and packages of baby wipes the society collected and donated recently to the Mercy Learning Center in Bridgeport.

From left are seniors Caroline Sarda of New Canaan, Felicia Tanu of Stamford and Maddie Peloso  of Fairfield, freshman Bella Secchiaroli of Milford and senior Aigneis Frey of New Canaan. All are members of the National Honor Society.The society sponsored a diaper drive with a Valentine's Day theme of "Luvs and Hugs." 

Lauralton Hall’s National Honor Society currently has 126 members. In order to be inducted, a student must hold a weighted 92 grade point average and must submit an application demonstrating her commitment to the four tenets of the society: leadership, scholarship, service and character.

Applicants also must perform 20 percent more service hours than do other students to fulfill the school’s service requirement. (Photo submitted)
