skydive sniffin fb web

Katherin Sniffin, principal of St. Joseph School in Meriden, makes good on a pledge to skydive on April 17 over Gardiner, N.Y., in return for pledges made by members of the school community this year to go “Above and Beyond” what they normally do for the school.

Her 13,000-plus-foot leap of faith was part of a campaign to encourage support for Catholic education and to highlight the support Catholic schools receive.

Mrs. Sniffin challenged school alumni, families, teachers and others to pray more or give more of their time, talent and treasure to the school in its centennial year.

She jumped in tandem with Eric Normandin of Skydive the Ranch in Gardiner.

To date, her challenge has raised more than $6,000 but “more in actions,” she said. (Photos by Jim Stahl/Skydive the Ranch)
