WATERBURY – Anthony R. Azzara, principal of Sacred Heart High School, congratulates seven students who have been awarded scholarships from the Foundation for the Advancement of Catholic Schools (FACS).

The foundation annually awards scholarships to students who attend archdiocesan schools and their families to help further their Catholic school education.

Mr. Azzara and Eileen Regan, school president, congratulated the recipients for their contributions to the success of the Sacred Heart family.

Mr. Azzara told the students that the school community is very fortunate to have "such tremendous support" for its scholarship assistance program. "The strength of ‘the Heart’s’ scholarship program is evidenced by countless friends, like the foundation, who assist in helping to make a Sacred Heart education possible,” he said

Students who received the FACS scholarships are Andrew Bonicki, Washington Leon, Jonathan Perez, Gabriel Melo, Alexandra Santos, Julian Cammarasana and Elizabeth DeCrisanti.
