U.S. Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi is running for re-election

Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and the most powerful woman in Washington, announced her candidacy for re-election to Congress on Tuesday (25).

The 81-year-old legislator spoke about the interim legislative elections in which US President Joe Biden is in danger of losing the Democratic majority he enjoys in Congress.

Recalling the attack on the Capitol by Donald Trump supporters and restrictions on voting access in some Republican states, he stressed in a video posted on Twitter that “our democracy is in danger, nothing less.”

“But, as we say, we do not regret it, we act,” Pelosi declared, having been in Congress since 1987 and a capable strategist who knew first-hand the ins and outs of power.

“That is why I am running for re-election,” he declared.

Pelosi, however, showed prudence about his desire to be in the House of Representatives. The Democratic Left Party has been pushing for a change of leadership for years.

Nancy Pelosi, considered a moderate in her San Francisco constituency, was largely responsible for implementing Joe Biden’s infrastructure plan, as was the case with Barack Obama’s health care reform.

Conservatives, however, condemn the arrogance of this woman, the wife of businessman and millionaire Frank Pelosi.

During the four years that Donald Trump was president, he assumed the role of the main opponent of the Republican president. In a magnificent gesture, Pelosi tore up Union State’s last speech in February 2020 from the then White House tenant.

Nancy Pelosi, a mother of five, was born on March 26, 1940, in Baltimore to an Italian-American Catholic family. His father and brother were mayors of this large industrial city in the northeast of the country.
