US Vice President Kamala Harris will give an interview with CNN starting next Thursday (29) after she begins campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination, the broadcaster announced today.
Nov. 5 In the swing state of Georgia, he will speak with his running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walls.
The interview will air at 9pm local time (10pm Brasilia) and will be hosted by journalist Dana Bash, according to CNN.
The Democrat, 59, was pressured to give an interview to a prominent American press vehicle. Until now, only brief exchanges with journalists and meetings with influencers followed the trips.
The CNN interview marks the start of a new phase following a long-awaited debate with Donald Trump on September 10, 10 weeks before the election and after last week’s Democratic nominating convention.
Kamala ran after President Joe Biden stepped down on July 21. He gained momentum in the polls, but the electoral dispute was still fierce.
Republican Donald Trump is trying to expand his more stable voter base, especially since he was the victim of an assassination attempt on July 13.
