Araus, formerly Corinthians, announced by Necaxa and may have Valdivia company in the Mexican club | international football

Neither the Mexican club nor Corinthians announced the value and terms of the transfer. Araus should continue to receive 50% of the economic rights associated with Timão, which will receive about $1 million (R$ 5.7 million at today’s quote).

In Mexico, Araus can be in the company of an old acquaintance who is a Brazilian fan: the Chilean too ValdiviaPreviously palm trees.

The seasoned midfielder, 38, has announced that he is transitioning from being a TV commentator in Chile to playing again and that Necaxa will be his destiny. So far, the Mexican club has not confirmed the signing.

Araus is 24 years old and never had a place in the Corinthian team. The midfielder has played in just four minutes for Corinthians in the past three months. Since August 8, Corinthians have played 15 matches, with one participation from the Chilean.

Appointed by Corinthians three years ago, Araus hasn’t been able to establish himself in the starting line-up, but has been picking up chances lately. He started both matches under interim coach Fernando Lazaro, against Sport Huancayo and River Plate-Bar.

Then, with Sylvinho, he started four matches and joined the other nine. Araus has 61 games and one goal for Timao. He was in the São Paulo champion group in 2019, and in the same year, he was loaned to Ponte Preta.

To purchase 100% of the player’s rights from Universidad de Chile, Corinthians paid R$23.9 million. The midfielder’s contract was until July 2023.
