The president also admitted that the chances of CONMEBOL accepting the establishment of a disciplinary measure were slim, but that the club acted to defend its rights and interests.
Immediately after the semi-final match that led to Atlético’s downfall in the Libertadores, Atlético’s board of deliberations indulged in a display of members (most of the board members are lawyers) indicating the club’s legal position.
