247 – A 55-year-old man who was intentionally infected with the Coronavirus has died in Austria. And he went to the “Covid Party” in the city of Bolzano, northern Italy, with the aim of contracting the disease.
According to the Italian newspaper Il Dolomiti, the man wanted to have the so-called “Green Corridor”.
Several countries in Europe impose “green corridor” fees, which allow citizens to work or access recreational areas as long as they have a full vaccination certificate or proof that they have recovered from Covid-19 in the past six months.
Dr. Patrick Franzoni, coordinator of the anti-Covid unit in Bolzano, explains that “Covid parties” are increasingly common. He explains that at these events, at least one of the guests has had Covid-19, and knowing who that person is, others approach her for drinks or a hug. “They do this to develop antibodies and get the ‘green pass’ without vaccination. There are long-term consequences and even young adults can end up in the hospital.”
