Brazilian kickboxing legend Alex Poatan made his debut with a stunning knockout with his flying knee

The Brazilian is enjoying an amazing kickboxing career with two wins over current UFC champion Israel Adesanya

On the initial card of UFC 268, Brazilian Alex Poatan defeated Greek Andreas Michaelides by a stunning knockout on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

After the first round did not go well, with 18 seconds into the second round, the Brazilian hit a stray knee that hit the Greek player’s face, who immediately fell to the ground, without any chance.

Poatan had his friend and current UFC Heavyweight Champion Glover Teixeira in his corner.

After the fight, he received praise from the MMA Kings. In this case, Jon Jones and Amanda Nunes.

“Things got really interesting in the middleweight division,” Jones wrote. “Beautiful flying knee,” Amanda wrote.

UFC commentators on the official US broadcast Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier were skeptical about their reaction to the knockout.

Boatan is a legend in kickboxing, with five title defenses at Glory between the middleweights and two other light heavyweight belts. The Brazilian, 34, made his UFC debut.

In 2016 and 2017, Powatan faced Israel Adesanya, now the UFC middleweight champion, by defeating the Nigerian on both occasions.
