A China não recriminou as invasões russas na Ucrânia

China urges US not to use Ukraine war to threaten country – News

China’s defense minister on Wednesday (20) asked the US portfolio “not to use the Ukraine issue to defame, accuse, threaten or pressure China,” after the criticism he received for his alleged support of the Russian invasion.

Defense Minister Wei Fengyi’s comments come two days after a senior US senator said China must face greater consequences for supporting Moscow.

China has not condemned the invasion of Ukraine and has defended its position on the conflict, despite the US warning that Beijing’s unwillingness to punish Russia could affect its ties with other economies.

In a conversation with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Wednesday, Wei also called on the US to “stop carrying out military provocations at sea!” According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Defense.

In the conversation, the Chinese minister reiterated Beijing’s position on Taiwan, warning that if the issue is not managed properly, there will be a “destabilizing effect” on US-China relations.

Beijing considers this democratically governed island part of its territory and has vowed to take it back one day, using force if necessary.

According to the Pentagon statement, the two officials discussed defense and regional security issues and Russia’s “unjustified” invasion of Ukraine.
