“We are saddened to hear the news of the passing of our dear friend Alec John Such. He was original. As one of the founders of Bon Jovi, Alec was essential to forming the band. Honestly, we met because of him – he was a childhood friend of Tico’s and took Richie to watch one of our shows. Alec has always been crazy and full of life. Today, these special memories make me smile and cry. “He will be sorely missed,” the band said in a statement.

The musician reunited with the band in 2018, when Bon Jovi was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

“When Jon Bon Jovi He called me and asked me to be in his band many years ago, and I quickly realized how serious he was and had a vision he wanted to bring to us. “I am very happy to be a part of that vision,” John Such said at the time.
