Luisa Stefani is the WTA 1000 runner-up in Cincinnati

In the first set, Stephanie and Dabrowski began putting pressure on the opposing duo, and immediately earned a break point, opening 2-0 in the sequence when they confirmed serve. The No. 6 seed, Luisa Stefani and Gabriela Dabrovsky, faced Kazakhstan’s Anna Danielina and Yaroslava Shvedova in the first round and won in two sets to 0 (6/3 and 6/4). In the round of 16, they defeated Belarusian Victoria Azarenka and American Jessica Pegula, by two sets to 1, with parts 6/4, 4/6 and 10/7.

In the quarter-finals, they faced the Japanese Ina Shibahara and Shoko Aoyama, with double heads No. 3, and won two sets to zero (double 6/3). In the semi-finals, they beat the other candidates – Czech Barbora Krejsikova and Katerina Sinyakova, second place, winning in two sets to 1 (7/5, 3/6 and 10/7).
