OLDPMass-DSC_4945Eduardo Colón, left, and Eufemio Vasquez carry a statue of Our Lady of the Divine Providence into the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford for a Mass on Nov. 20 celebrating the devotion. Litter bearers not shown were Miguel Echandy and Angel Mazariegos. All are from St. Augustine Parish in Hartford.  Archbishop Henry J. Mansell was the principal celebrant, and Bishop Peter A. Rosazza gave the homily. The centuries-old  devotion celebrates Our Lady's multiple interventions in many Church communities during times of need. It is especially popular among Puerto Rican communities. The statue also is from St. Augustine Parish in Hartford. (Photo by Jack Sheedy)
