Mother Genevieve Regina Nugent, at far right, and the full house of Little Sisters of the Poor, residents and staff of St. Joseph's Residence in Enfield gathered on July 3 to pose for a photo as part of the nationwide welcome activities for Pope Francis' visit in September.
The picture was prompted by an invitation posted on the website of Catholic Extension, which features a reproducible cutout of Pope Francis.
Participants are offered the opportunity to share an experience of the Catholic Church by taking their picture with the pope's cutout and uploading selfies or photos of families, youth groups, campus ministries, church ministries, choirs, service projects and others.
Sister Frances MacKay, development director, who is holding the cutout at center of photo, organized the event.
A collage of all the photos submitted will be forwarded to Pope Francis. (Photo by Karen O. Bray)
