Father Dennis J. Vincenzo, pastor of St. John of the Cross Parish in Middlebury, touches the coffin of Msgr. Charles W. Daly at the conclusion of a Mass of Chrisitan Burial on March 3 at St. Joseph Cathedral in Hartford.

Archbishop Leonard P. Blair was the principal celebrant. Father John P. Melnick, pastor of St. Bernard Parish in Enfield, was the homilist.

Concelebrants included Archbishops Emeritus Daniel A. Cronin and Henry J. Mansell, Auxilary Bishop Christie A. Macaluso and Auxilary Bishop Emeritus Peter A. Rosazza.

Archbishop Blair commented at the conclusion of the Mass that Msg. Daly used the many graces given to him by God wisely in the service of others and likened his journey of 95 years on earth to the end of a beautiful day.
