Waterbury Mayor Neil O'Leary, left, stands beside Sister Mary Grace Walsh, the Archdiocese of Hartford’s provost for education, evangelization and catechesis, and Dominican Father Steven Boguslawski, moderator of the curia for the archdiocese, in front of a 2017 red Corvette donated by Blasius Chevrolet in Waterbury for a raffle benefiting the Hartford Bishops' Foundation.
A May 9 reception at the dealership marked the kickoff of a raffle of the Corvette, which will benefit Catholic education in the archdiocese.
The winner of the car will be announced at the Hartford Bishops’ Foundation's second annual gala, scheduled to take place Nov. 18 at the Aria in Prospect.
Tickets cost $10 and are available from Suzanne Feola at 860-913-2668 or at email@example.com.
The raffle is being conducted by the Hartford Bishop's Foundation, which aims to ensure that the mission of the archdiocese is fulfilled and its vision realized. The archdiocese created the foundation to strengthen the local church’s ties to business, government and community leaders in a common effort to improve the lives of people who live in Hartford, New Haven and Litchfield counties.
