MANCHESTER – East Catholic High School senior Jillian Bray has been appointed to the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London.

The Coast Guard Academy is ranked among the nation’s elite undergraduate colleges. Its selective admission process annually identifies the best 300 candidates from a nationwide pool of approximately 5,000 applicants.

Miss Bray is a scholar athlete and a member of the East Catholic girls basketball team, National Honor Society and Tri-M Music Honor Society. She is also an accomplished singer.

She has done extensive community service, volunteering her time at Birth Right, MARC of Manchester and for the elderly in Vernon.
