We have it on hand Redmi 10 Prime, which is a basic mid-range phone launched at the end of 2021 by Xiaomi, but may have been overlooked by some. It is found on sale in national retail stores at a price between 1,500 and 1,700 BRL, which competes with the Redmi Note line. Does this model make sense?
Not only does Redmi 10 Prime bring a new design, but it also does not look like a cheap cell phone like the last generation. It’s a great slipper, but it comes with a case in the box. The screen has a refresh rate of 90Hz, which helps provide good fluidity, but it can have a stronger brightness. On the other hand, the stereo sound has great quality for its category.
Performance is one of its weaknesses. It tends to reload apps frequently, compromising your multimedia experience. Also, don’t expect games to run at 90 frames per second. In the end, the 90Hz screen simplifies the MIUI animations.
The 6000mAh battery works well and it got close to 30 hours in our benchmark test. It can last a little longer for the size, even more so since the test was done with the screen at 60Hz, but what matters most is that it lasts for more than a day. The recharging time can also be more flexible and it takes more than 2 hours to recharge.
The Redmi 10 Prime has a good imaging range, but the simple MediaTek devices do not take full advantage. It’s the typical cell phone that makes good pictures for posting on social networks, but it’s not suitable for those who enjoy editing or want something close to reality. The camcorder is also very limited, but it’s well within expectations for the class.
