Branko Melo from Tates Hospital has been discharged from hospital after over a month

After more than a month in the hospital for recurrent cancer treatment, singer and breast bassist Branko Mello, 59, was discharged from the hospital last Saturday (11/12). The musician underwent nasopharyngeal surgery in November.

“Hello friends! After 32 days in hospital, we are finally home to continue recovering from surgery! I always read all the messages and am so happy for the crowd and every word of you! Thank you very much!” the musician on his Instagram profile.

Milo was hospitalized in São Paulo after a tumor in the hypopharynx (the area of esophageal entry) was detected at an early stage. In a note issued by Breast Profile, the band explained that the disease, a recurrence of a cancer that was treated in 2018, was discovered during a routine examination.

Away from offers to treat a tumor, the musician underwent another surgery. At the end of the month, Milo received a visit from his friend and colleague Sergio Brito. The patient shared a photo from the meeting on social networks.

During the entire treatment, Branko Melo was replaced by Cayo bassist Jess Neves, he was invited to sing with breast until the musician returned to the stage.
