anchor National Magazine William Bonner, 58, has disappeared from the newsstand and his absence has left viewers astonished. This week, he used social media to comment on the case and explain his departure. Bonner said he had a voice problem that prevented him from delivering the news, but he clarified that he was active in his role as editor.

“I was only working on the JN version this week. The sound is bad. Yesterday, it was more painful to be like this, unable to present,” the presenter announced on his official Instagram account, regretting that he was unable, from the JN seat, to honor His colleague Alberico de Souza Cruz, the former director of TV Globo, who died on Tuesday (10) of leukemia.

“I wish I could have given the Alberico family and many friends the sincere air of my respect, appreciation and gratitude. He was such an important president. He was the one who got me to co-chair a newscast for the first time, exactly 29 years and 40 days ago,” he recalls. William BonnerWho gave a picture of his friend in farewell.

“After more than two years of battling the disease, he walked the same steps with a stick in his right hand, his eyes sparkling. He arrived with the smile of the victors,” the lieutenant colonel described. Bonner didn’t give big explanations about the health conditions of his voice, nor did he say how long he should stay away from the newsstand.
